EMT - Paramedic, Advanced and Basic

Job Summary

We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated EMTs, Paramedics, and Advanced Life Support providers to join our emergency medical team in a 911 EMS System. This role involves delivering critical patient care in pre-hospital settings, including urgent response, transport, and on-site medical interventions. Candidates must possess a strong background in emergency medicine, trauma management, and patient assessment to ensure the highest level of care during emergencies. The position offers an opportunity to work in dynamic environments such as trauma centers, hospitals, and field operations, providing vital support to patients in need.

Duties

• Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide immediate medical assistance at the scene of incidents.
• Assess patient conditions through comprehensive physical examinations and vital signs monitoring.
• Perform advanced airway management techniques and administer medications as prescribed.
• Conduct patient triage and prioritize care based on severity of injuries or illnesses.
• Transport patients safely to hospitals or trauma centers while continuously monitoring their condition.
• Utilize medical devices (DME) effectively during patient care procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments administered, and transport details.
• Follow aseptic techniques to prevent infection during procedures such as venipuncture and injections.
• Communicate effectively with hospital staff, including physicians and nurses, regarding patient status and care provided.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations during emergency responses.

Skills

• Extensive EMT experience with proficiency in basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support (ALS).
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and emergency medicine protocols.
• Skilled in airway management, medication administration, venipuncture, and physical examinations.
• Experience with patient assessment techniques such as triage and vital signs measurement.
• Ability to perform critical care transport efficiently under pressure in various environments.
• Familiarity with DME usage and aseptic techniques for infection control.
• Excellent driving skills with the ability to operate emergency vehicles safely; heavy lifting capability for equipment handling.
• Experience administering injections and managing medication protocols in urgent care or ER settings is preferred.
• Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and patient interaction in high-stress situations. Pay: $53, $80,000.00 per year
