JANITOR – Job Summary:
The Janitor is responsible for the overall upkeep of the premises and performs general janitorial duties and minor repairs according to company policy.

The Janitor is responsible for the overall upkeep of the premises and performs general janitorial duties and minor repairs according to company policy.
Schedule is Monday to Friday:
- 1st Shift: 5:00am – 1:30pm
- 2nd Shift: 11:00am - 7:00pm
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
- Cleans offices, meeting rooms, storage rooms, restrooms, trash dumpsters, internal and external public areas, and parking lot.
- Sweeps, mops, dust, vacuums, washes down parking lot sidewalks and other cement areas, and empties trash can and trash bins.
- Cleans light fixtures and ensures they are in working order.
- Assists with the removal and storage of furniture & appliances.
- Conducts visual inspections of the inside and outside of the premises and reports any damage or safety hazard to the Facilities Supervisor.
- Assists the Facilities Supervisor maintain inventory of janitorial supplies.
- Keeps all janitorial storage rooms clean and organized.
- Maintains open communication with the Facilities Supervisor.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
- Knowledge of different cleaning products and tools.
- Detailed, time management, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and customer service.
- Ability to work independently.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior related experience.
- Heavy lifting: to be able to Lift 50 pounds constantly and up to 100 pounds via team lift.
- Standing: to remain on one’s feet in an upright position without moving about.
- Walking: to move about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
- Stooping: to bend the body forward and down while bending the spine at the waist 45 degrees or more either over something below waist level or down towards an object on or near the ground.
- Talking: to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word, to convey detailed or important spoken instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Hearing: to perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels, to receive detailed information through oral communication and make fine discriminations in sound.
- Vision: to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work.
- Environment: exposure to inside environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
- Noise: exposure to noise high enough to require the worker to shout to be heard above the ambient noise level.
