Maintenance Director

Location: Gresham, OR
Pay: $38.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience
Full-Time

A skilled nursing facility in the Portland metro area is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to oversee the day-to-day maintenance, safety, and physical operations of the facility.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, organized, and knowledgeable about maintenance operations within a healthcare, skilled nursing, assisted living, or similar environment. This position plays an important role in ensuring our facility remains safe, well-maintained, and comfortable for our residents, staff, and visitors.

• Oversee the overall maintenance and physical condition of the facility

• Perform and coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs

• Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and other building systems

• Respond promptly to maintenance and safety concerns

• Conduct routine facility inspections and address identified issues

• Coordinate outside vendors and contractors when necessary

• Maintain required maintenance records, inspections, and documentation

• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, fire, life-safety, and regulatory requirements

• Manage maintenance supplies, equipment, and inventory

• Work collaboratively with facility leadership and other departments

• Assist with emergency preparedness and facility-related projects

• Previous maintenance experience required

• Maintenance leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred

• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, assisted living, healthcare, or a similar setting preferred

• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance

• Knowledge of healthcare regulatory and life-safety requirements is a plus

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond to urgent maintenance needs

• Must be dependable, hands-on, and able to work independently

$38.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience.
