Role Description
The Construction Superintendent position is a full-time on-site role based in the Napa area. The Superintendent will oversee daily construction operations, including managing schedules, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and addressing any challenges on-site. This role involves maintaining strong communication with project stakeholders, conducting inspections to ensure project milestones are met, and assisting with problem-solving to keep the project on track. The Superintendent will ensure adherence to healthcare construction standards and project specifications.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of construction management, project scheduling, and resource allocation
- Experience in supervising subcontractors, managing on-site activities, and ensuring quality control
- Familiarity with healthcare-specific construction standards, including those required for acute and outpatient facilities
- Proficiency in construction practices such as renovations, seismic retrofits, and installation of technical medical equipment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and manage teams
- Proven understanding of safety regulations, compliance requirements, and risk mitigation strategies
- Experience working on OSHPD-regulated projects is highly desirable
- Relevant certifications in construction management or a related discipline, such as OSHA certification or PMP
