Bilingual Medical Customer Service Representative (Early-Out Services)
Location: Springfield/Alexandria, VA (In-Person)
A leading Hospital Patient Financial Services outsourcing organization is seeking a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Medical Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role focuses on early-out patient engagement, helping individuals resolve their healthcare accounts.
Position Overview
The Bilingual Medical Customer Service Representative serves as a key liaison between patients and healthcare providers, delivering compassionate, solution-oriented support to resolve outstanding balances and improve patient financial experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound calls to patients to assist in resolving account balances
- Handle inbound patient inquiries regarding account status, billing questions, and payment options
- Obtain and verify insurance information for submission to insurance carriers on behalf of patients
- Establish payment arrangements and educate patients on available financial options
- Communicate clearly and professionally to ensure patients fully understand their accounts and next steps
- Accurately document all interactions, actions taken, and follow-up activities within Ontario FACS and/or client systems
- Maintain compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations and company policies
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
- Minimum of 1 year of continuous experience in a high-volume call center or customer service environment
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Prior customer service experience (preferred)
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Pay: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
