Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Senior Programmatic Account Director . This role will be focused on driving new business development and strategically supporting our largest enterprise deals. The ideal candidate has foundational knowledge of the pharmaceutical marketing and programmatic advertising ecosystem and a strong drive to hit sales targets while building lasting client relationships.
What You Do
Programmatic Business Development & Sales Execution (Primary Focus)
At Health Union, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range that provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.

What You Do
Programmatic Business Development & Sales Execution (Primary Focus)
- Independent Account Ownership: Take the lead on prospecting, pitching, and closing opportunities within a defined set of accounts or agencies, managing the full sales cycle end-to-end.
- Strategic Sales Support: Work closely with the VP of Platform Partnerships who leads our Programmatic Sales Team to provide strategic, high-value support on large enterprise accounts , focusing on meeting preparation, proposal customization, and post-pitch follow-up.
- Opportunity Qualification: Conduct initial outreach and qualification of leads, leveraging industry data and market insights to ensure the sales pipeline remains focused on high-potential programmatic deals (e.g., CTV, ATV, Audio).
- Proposal Creation: Own the creation of compelling introductory media proposals and pitch decks, clearly articulating our programmatic solutions and the benefits of our audience data to agency and client contacts.
- Competitor & Market Intelligence: Conduct ongoing analysis of the competitor landscape and ad tech trends, providing the Sales team with talking points, strategic positioning, and rationale for our solutions.
- Strategic Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with contacts at independently managed accounts, ensuring they are consistently updated on our evolving programmatic offerings and audience solutions.
- Collaborating with Sales Support: Collaborate with the Client Success lead during the pre-sale to post-sale transition to ensure campaign specs and data requirements are met for a successful launch.
- Performance Insight Communication: Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and client calls. Effectively synthesize and present key campaign insights to drive renewal confidence and identify upsell opportunities.
- 2-5 years of professional experience in a digital media, sales development, media planning, or account coordinator role, with exposure to programmatic advertising. Experience in the health/pharmaceutical vertical and CTV premium video space are a plus
- Foundational knowledge of the programmatic ecosystem, including how Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs) and audience data work to achieve client KPIs.
- Proven track record of hitting sales targets, evidenced by proactive communication skills, resilience, and a competitive drive.
- Proficiency in utilizing CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and excellent data organizational skills (Excel/Google Sheets).
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate commercial value to clients effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
