Physical Therapy Aide

Health Star Physical Therapy is an outpatient private practice dedicated to providing superior rehabilitation services for a diverse patient population. Our team is committed to delivering personalized care that promotes recovery and enhances quality of life.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Physical Therapy Aide to support our licensed physical therapist in delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in anatomy and medical terminology, with experience in a medical office or outpatient settings of a physical therapy practice. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable clinical experience while contributing to patient recovery in outpatient, orthopedics, geriatrics, and post-acute care.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapist with patient intake procedures and prepare treatment areas for therapy sessions.
• Support patients during therapy exercises, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment spaces and equipment in accordance with health standards.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the supervising therapist for documentation purposes.
• Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating patient records, collecting patient payments, and answering telephones.
• Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
• Adhere to all safety regulations while providing compassionate patient service.

Requirements

• Prior experience in outpatient clinical environments is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices.
• Demonstrated understanding of patient service and patient care principles across diverse populations including geriatrics and orthopedics.
• Experience working in outpatient setting is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients and healthcare staff.

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
