We are partnering with public and non-public school districts to place licensed Physical Therapists in school-based settings for the current and upcoming school year.
This role is ideal for PTs who enjoy working with students, value consistent schedules, and want meaningful, impact-driven work in an educational environment.
🩺 Position Overview
As a School Physical Therapist, you will support students with physical disabilities and developmental challenges, helping them access their educational environment safely and effectively.
Assignments may include:
- Per diem coverage
- Part-time schedules
- Full-time and long-term placements
🧠Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services to students in accordance with IEPs
- Evaluate students’ motor skills, mobility, posture, and functional abilities
- Collaborate with teachers, school nurses, special education teams, and families
- Document evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans
- Support students in achieving academic and functional goals within the school setting
✅ Requirements
- Valid Physical Therapist license (NY or NJ, depending on assignment)
- School-based experience preferred (but not required)
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary school team
- Compliance with school clearance requirements (fingerprinting, physical, etc.)
