Responsibilities
Provide therapy sessions following students’ IEP/IFSPs, communicate appropriately with professional school staff and families of assigned students, and maintain accurate documentation.
Perform evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, support staff, and families to support curriculum access and promote
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
Help students improve mobility, independence, and participation in the educational setting.
Qualifications:
- Active New York State Occupational Therapists (OTs), Physical Therapists (PTs) & Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) License/Certification
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
- Physical completed within the last 12 months
- Current PPD and MMR documentation
- Must be fingerprinted through the NYC Department of Education or be willing to obtain fingerprints
