Location: Grand Junction in our Residential/Circle/Withdrawal Management programs.

This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule in both our Withdrawal Management and Residential Units
Position qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado; Bachelor’s degree in nursing or health-related field preferred. One year (1) of Detox/Substance Abuse Disorder experience required, two (2) years previous experience preferred. May be required to work overnight as necessary.
Job Purpose
Provides nursing duties that deliver detox and withdrawal management services to adults. Promotes and fosters health, assesses dysfunction, supports patient recovery, enhances coping skills and abilities, maximizes strengths, and prevents further disability. The focus is on assessment and monitoring of safety, self-care activities, and psychobiological courses of therapy. Job duties are based on the Scope and Standards of Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Standards of Practice.

Ability to quickly develop rapport with individuals in order to perform essential nursing duties and resolve crisis situations as necessary.

Ability to assess an individual’s potential for dangerousness to self, others, and/or grave disability.

Strong collaboration and communication skills with hospital staff and external partners.

Ability to appropriately and immediately document interactions with patients and potential patients.

Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations, federal and state law, and facility policies and procedures.

Working knowledge of Windows-based computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet access.

Ability to operate standard office equipment such as calculators, copy machines, fax machines, and multi-line telephones.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to organize and prioritize workload in a sometimes hectic environment with frequent interruptions.
