We are currently seeking a part time motivated and dependable Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) who enjoys working with patients and takes pride in delivering excellent care.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing physical therapy treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Guide patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises and modalities
- Monitor patient progress and report observations to the supervising PT
- Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and home programs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized treatment area
- Provide compassionate, professional interaction with patients at all times
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current NY PTA license
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, reliable, and patient-focused
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Outpatient orthopedic or musculoskeletal experience preferred, but not required
