Richmond Health Care Center is seeking a compassionate, motivated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our clinical leadership team. If you’re an experienced nurse leader who thrives in a skilled nursing environment, we want to hear from you!

We prefer an RN for this role; however, we will consider a highly qualified LVN with strong SNF leadership experience.

Wage scale based on years of experience. Benefits & bonuses available for full-time employees working 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Nursing with clinical operations and staff leadership
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor nursing staff
  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, audits, and performance oversight
  • Promote exceptional resident care and quality outcomes
  • Participate in care planning, QAPI initiatives, and regulatory compliance
  • Facilitate investigations and timely reporting for resident safety concerns
  • Serve as a clinical resource to staff and a liaison to families
  • Participate in the on-call rotation as needed
  • Support a positive culture centered on teamwork and resident-centered care

Qualifications

  • Must be an RN or LVN with an active, unencumbered Texas license
  • Current CPR certification
  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF/LTC) experience required
  • Proven experience in nursing leadership or supervisory roles
  • Strong knowledge of nursing standards, clinical practices, and long-term care regulations
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation skills
  • Ability to plan, organize, and implement nursing programs
  • Strong understanding of abuse/neglect reporting requirements
  • Ability to lift 60–70 lbs and stand/walk throughout the s

hift

  • Ability to work in an on-call rotation, including nights/weekends/holidays
  • Must pass required drug screening, background checks, and health clearances
  • Must adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA standards
  • Positive, professional interpersonal skills and the ability to work harmoniously with residents, families, and staff
  • Commitment to ongoing education and regulatory training
