Positions with a designated work location in New York City, Nassau, Rockland, Suffolk, or Westchester Counties will receive a $4,000 annual downstate adjustment (pro-rated for part-time positions).

Responsibilities

Job Description:

The Health Program Coordinator will assist with the coordination of program activities for the projects of the New York State Perinatal Quality Collaborative (NYSPQC). These projects are currently focused on respectful care and safe reduction of nulliparous, term, singleton, vertex (NTSV) cesarean births and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) family-centered care. The incumbent will contribute to program coordination activities to support evidence-based and informed practice changes in participating NYS birthing facilities to improve perinatal outcomes. This will include: assisting with the coordination of project activities, team meetings, educational webinars with stakeholders and virtual/in-person events; assisting with coordination of stakeholder activities; compiling reports and presentations; communicating project status to stakeholders; coordinating NYSPQC project communication; coordinating project team member activities and tracking progress towards goals and objectives; serving as a liaison with both internal and external professionals; and other appropriate related duties.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience contributing to the coordination of program activities in a public health, health, health regulatory, or human services related program; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and four years of such experience; OR six years of such experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with assisting in the coordination and/or organization of a large-scale project.
  • Experience in maternal and child health. Experience working with hospital providers.
  • Experience assisting with the development of educational strategies, resources and/or materials.
  • Experience in assisting with developing and coordinating reports for key stakeholders.
  • Master’s degree in public health or a related field.

Conditions of Employment

Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.

Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Travel up to 25% of the time will be required.

The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with a combination of onsite and remote work.

Work Location Expectations

At HRI, the nature of hybrid and onsite work varies by position. Some roles require full onsite presence, while others allow a hybrid schedule. Managers determine the specific telecommuting expectations for each role based on operational needs and job responsibilities. If designated as hybrid, you will divide your time between working remotely and reporting onsite. Regardless of telecommuting status, all HRI employees must live within a reasonable commuting distance of their official work location and must reside in one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, or Vermont.
