What are the responsibilities and job description for the Provider APRN position at Health Ministries Clinic Inc?
Position Description: This Medical Provider will be working out of our Halstead, KS location.
The Medical Provider provides direct patient care as part of the medical team according to approved protocol in an integrated primary-care/behavioral health setting. Works alongside behavioral health and nursing team members to manage patients' health and motivate lifestyle changes to optimize health. Bases patient care on evidence-based practices within clinic protocols. Participates in provider meetings and staff training.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Perform initial patient screenings, patient history, and physical examinations
- Update patient records and check records for accuracy at each patient appointment
- Analyze test data and determine the need for follow-up appointments and further treatment options
- Deliver quality primary care, including ordering lab tests, prescription drugs, and making referrals
- Serve as the resource patients need for ongoing care information and counseling
- Provide guidance for patients with critical conditions
- Participates in HMC's QA/QI and risk management activities

Work Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; weekend and evening hours may be required.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Nursing or a Doctorate in Family Medicine
- Current unrestricted Kansas License (APRN, MD, DO)
- 5 years' experience, at least 2 years as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or higher
- FTCA coverage or private professional malpractice insurance obtainable
- Current ACLS certification
- Medicaid provider number
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work within a team and take direction
- Strong professional ethics
- Ability to relate to the public regardless of ethnic, religious or economic status
