Role: Surgical Assistant III, supporting oral surgeons before, during, and after procedures.
Responsibilities include: preparing and sterilizing instruments, operating autoclaves, setting up surgical trays, assisting with IV anesthesia and sedation, monitoring patients post-anesthesia, supporting airway management, and maintaining emergency protocols. Non-surgical duties involve patient intake, vital signs, X-rays, EMR documentation, supply restocking, patient communication, and coordinating treatment plans.
Qualifications and Skills: Strong organizational and communication abilities, excellent patient care, professionalism, and knowledge of oral surgery procedures, medications, and infection control. Experience in people management is preferred.
Additional Requirements: On-site work, ability to stand for extended periods, physical capacity to perform various movements and lift up to 25 lbs. Flexibility to perform additional tasks as needed.
