Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre-operative assessments, education, medication administration, and documentation.
- Administer moderate sedation, monitor physiological status, and manage emergency procedures.
- Care for patients in recovery, including assessments, monitoring, and discharge documentation.
- Assist with interventional procedures such as PICC line placements, biopsies, vascular procedures, and filter placements.
- Recognize and intervene in life-threatening situations effectively.
- Manage caseloads, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing work patterns.
- Maintain accurate charting, transport patients, and support cross-training in other nursing areas.
- Order supplies, serve as a resource to colleagues, and act as a preceptor to peers and students.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
- Current RN license in California and graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum one year of RN experience in an acute care setting.
- All AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, maintained current.
- Effective communication, active listening, and compassionate patient advocacy.
- Ability to handle physically and mentally demanding work and maintain patient safety.
- Completion of mandatory programs, including EKG and NIHSS certification.
