Job Title: Part-Time Oral Surgeon

Location: Oxford Dental, Oxford, Mississippi

Position Type: Part-Time (2-4 times a month)

Overview

Seeking an experienced and compassionate Oral Surgeon to perform a variety of surgical procedures including tooth extractions, dental implants, and biopsies. The role involves collaborating with general dentists, ensuring patient safety, and providing post-operative care in a state-of-the-art practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform oral and maxillofacial surgeries and treatments.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with the dental team.
• Create a safe, comfortable environment for patients during and after procedures.
• Educate patients on post-op care and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health systems.
• Communicate treatment options and recovery expectations clearly.
• Stay current with advancements in oral surgical techniques and technology.
  
  

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS from an accredited dental school.
• Completion of an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency.
• Board certification or eligibility in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
• Valid dental license and relevant certifications (BLS, ACLS).
• Prior experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills and patient-centered approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
