Role: Medical Technologist Supervisor responsible for leading laboratory operations, performing complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriological tests.
Responsibilities: Examines and analyzes body fluids and cells, matches blood for transfusions, and ensures compliance with blood bank standards. Analyzes chemical content and drug levels, prepares specimens, and relays test results to physicians. Conducts cultures, evaluates test data, develops procedures, and monitors quality programs. Maintains safety protocols, orders supplies, manages lab environment, and supervises staff as Lead. Keeps accurate records and may oversee equipment and departmental management.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, certification from AMT, ASCP, or NCA, and current BLS certification. At least five years of experience as a Medical Technologist, with one year in a Lead role. Strong organizational, multitasking, communication, and computer skills are essential. Ability to adapt, problem-solve, and communicate effectively in English. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required.
Preferred Skills: DHS clearance and bilingual abilities in Spanish and English are advantageous.
