JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse (RN), Sexual and Reproductive Health
Services HOURS: Full time, one evening required SALARY: 80,000/ annual
BENEFITS: Medical, dental, holiday, paid earned leave, 403b, etc.
DUTIES: Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Sexual and
Reproductive Health Services, the RN will be responsible for working in
partnership with the clinical team to provide medical services
including: Supporting the provision of abortion services through chart
review, patient eligibility screening, medication administration, and
recovery care. Performing limited ultrasound for gestational dating.
Coordinating timely patient medical follow-up based on medical provider
recommendations including contacting patients, scheduling follow-up
appointments and coordinating care per protocols. Administering vaccines
and injections, monitoring and providing post injection education
Providing clients with non-judgmental and accurate information regarding
reproductive health issues, abortion, contraception, sexually
transmitted infections, HIV, Hepatitis, pregnancy options, and pregnancy
prevention. Performing routine lab functions and testing including
phlebotomy, urine pregnancy testing, HIV and Hepatitis testing and
preparing specimens for transport Triaging post procedure patient care
Rooming patients, obtaining and recording client?s medical history
including gynecological, obstetrical and sexual history Providing
service navigation including linking patients to care and providing
referrals Utilizing the electronic health record system to maintain
clinical records including accurate and complete documentation of
patient information according to established protocols and funder
guidelines. Reviewing and reconciling lab results Other duties as
assigned Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A degree from an
accredited nursing program, a current MA nursing license and CPR
certification; 2 years? experience providing direct patient care in
health care setting; ability to use a computer and electronic medical
record: demonstrated excellent communication skills including a
Professional, Non-judgmental, Client-centered Demeanor. PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS: Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese speaking; prior OB/GYN
experience.
