Description of Work Murdoch Developmental Center (MDC) is currently recruiting Registered Nurses for multiple positions on 1st shift. The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional nursing care. This RN provides evaluation, assessment, and assures coordination and implementation of care delivery. This RN acts as charge nurse when assigned, provides clinical services and consultation including medication and treatment administration, MD/Professional contacts, & care planning for health needs. ALL employees of Murdoch Center are designated as ESSENTIAL for adverse weather and emergency events. We offer flexible shifts and pay additions for hours worked: Shift Work Schedule Shift Premium 1st 6:30am-3pm 10% Weekend Only 2nd 2:30pm-11pm 15% Weekday & 25% Weekend 3rd 10:45pm-6:45am 20% Weekday & 30% Weekend *Eligibility for Sign-on Bonus* To qualify for the Sign-on Bonus, a newly hired permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee must work 30 to 40 hours per week to be eligible. About Murdoch Developmental Center: MDC is one of three regional developmental centers operating as part of the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities (DSOHF). MDC in Butner serves 25 counties in central NC. Murdoch has approximately 1600 employees providing residential services and supports to people with IDD, complex behavioral challenges and/or medical conditions whose clinical treatment needs exceed the level of care available in the community.
