Role: Pharmacy Technician Specialist supporting various pharmacy settings including ambulatory, inpatient, research, and drug policy programs.
Responsibilities: Perform technical pharmacy functions such as system and informatics support, narcotics management, medication reconciliation, and patient assistance programs. Deliver medications, maintain inventory, support regulatory compliance, and contribute to policies and procedures. Lead site operations for large facilities, mentor staff, and ensure excellent customer service. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support training of personnel.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, with two years of pharmacy technician experience and proficiency in pharmacy software. Certified Pharmacy Technician with Board of Pharmacy registration. Knowledge of regulations, strong communication, teamwork, customer service skills, and ability to handle interruptions, prioritize, and adapt. Must be able to perform clerical and clinical tasks accurately and efficiently.
Additional Skills: Computer literacy, mathematical aptitude, and physical stamina for extended standing or outdoor work. Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
