- Document and receive patient transportation assignments, aiming to transport three patients per hour, and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Transport patients using wheelchairs, stretchers, beds, or ambulation, including with attached medical equipment.
- Participate in in-service education and departmental meetings.
- Report accidents, incidents, and complaints; assist with equipment maintenance and cleaning.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and professional standards; perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; no experience required.
- Knowledge of fire/disaster procedures, patient distress management, and completion of departmental training.
- Work primarily during day shifts.
- Location: Patewood Memorial Hospital in the Patient Transportation Department.
