Position Overview: The MRI Technologist II plans, supervises, and performs MRI procedures with minimal supervision, ensuring high-quality imaging for diagnostic purposes. Work includes neuro, body, MSK, and MR Angiography scans, with competency in Breast MRI, prostate MRI using DynaCad, and all scanners across facilities.
- Responsibilities: Conducts MRI scans per department protocols, maintains equipment, performs QA/QC activities, and ensures patient safety and comfort. Positions patients, manages IVs and contrast, monitors during scans, and interprets images to identify abnormalities. Maintains detailed records and ensures quality imaging for physicians.
- Qualifications & Skills: Requires a graduate of a 2-year Radiologic Technology Program, ARRT registration in radiology and MRI, at least one year of MRI experience, CPR certification, and knowledge of MRI equipment and safety protocols. Demonstrates competency in specialized MRI software and procedures.
- Work Environment & Physical Demands: Involves exposure to infectious materials, requiring physical effort such as lifting, reaching, and prolonged standing. Must adhere to PPE usage, demonstrate manual dexterity, and operate in a fast-paced clinical setting.
