Medical Technologist / Medical Lab Technologist PRN

Role Overview: The Medical Technologist/Medical Lab Technologist PRN performs and reports routine and specialized clinical laboratory analyses on various specimens, under supervision, ensuring accurate results. The position reports to the Director of Laboratory Services and requires effective communication, critical thinking, and proficiency in all laboratory areas.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and report clinical laboratory tests following established protocols
• Perform analyses on specimens of all types
• Ensure quality and accuracy of results
• Maintain compliance with safety and health standards
• Complete documentation and reporting as required
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related field
• Certification by ASCP or equivalent within 1 year of employment
• Minimum 1 year clinical laboratory experience preferred
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures, computer skills, and effective communication
• Ability to perform critical thinking and adapt to various laboratory tasks
  
  

Physical & Environmental Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 35 lbs; ability to hear, see, and distinguish colors; work in environments with airborne particles, chemicals, and noise; continual physical activity and safety compliance required.
