What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Production Manager position at Health Genesis Corporation?
Supports the Production Manager in coordinating and supervising day-to-day production operations—including blending, encapsulation, packaging, warehouse, and maintenance—to ensure product quality, safety, productivity, and compliance with cGMP and OSHA requirements. Helps drive operational excellence, resource planning, training, and workflow execution across assigned areas.
Assist Production Manager in planning and executing daily production across blending, encapsulation, and packaging.
Coordinate labor assignments to ensure staffing coverage by skillset, equipment needs, and shift priority.
Ensure compliance with cGMP, OSHA, internal SOPs, batch records, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Support oversight of warehouse functions, including receiving, staging, storage, issuance, and documentation.
Assist in ensuring equipment is maintained, calibrated, and safe to operate; coordinate maintenance servicing.
Monitor and enforce cleanliness, sanitation, cross-contamination controls, and environmental compliance.
Assist with end-of-shift reporting, ERP entries, batch counts, yield reporting, and documentation completion.
Help oversee in-process checks to ensure accuracy, compliance, and product quality.
Support training programs for operators on equipment, GMP, safety, and SOPs.
Help identify production bottlenecks and support implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
Assist with safety incident reporting, root-cause review, and implementation of preventive improvements.
Participate in planning, continuous improvement, and Kaizen-style efficiency initiatives.
Serve as an operational liaison between Production, QA/QC, Maintenance, Warehouse, Planning, and Purchasing.
Assist with shift handovers to ensure continuity of production and clear communication.
Support inventory accuracy, material control, waste tracking, and reporting.
Maintain positive leadership presence on the floor and act as backup to Production Manager.
Supervise and oversee on-going risk analysis, risk mitigation and development of contingency plans as they pertain to Production operations.
Assist the supervision of different shifts done on the machines, as well as any part replacements, repair, and modification to existing machines
