The Part-Time HR & Payroll Administrator provides administrative support for Human Resources and payroll functions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, values accuracy and confidentiality, and is comfortable supporting a small, growing organization.
You'll serve as the primary coordinator for employee onboarding, benefits administration, PTO tracking, payroll support, and HR recordkeeping while helping maintain efficient and compliant HR processes.
ResponsibilitiesHuman Resources Administration- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding activities.
- Prepare new hire paperwork and maintain personnel files.
- Administer employee benefits, including enrollments and qualifying life events.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for routine employee HR questions.
- Maintain HR documentation, policies, and employee records.
- Ensure confidential handling of employee information.
- Prepare and review payroll information using QuickBooks.
- Coordinate payroll changes including new hires, terminations, and benefit deductions.
- Verify PTO balances and payroll-related data.
- Work with Finance to ensure accurate payroll processing.
- Maintain accurate PTO records.
- Organize HR documentation within SharePoint.
- Support employment compliance documentation and record retention.
- Assist with annual HR administrative activities as needed.
- Prepare offer letters and onboarding documentation.
- Coordinate pre-employment paperwork.
- Maintain recruiting documentation and candidate files.
- 1–3 years of HR or payroll administration experience.
- Experience supporting payroll processes.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with QuickBooks Payroll.
- Experience administering employee benefits.
- Familiarity with SharePoint.
- Experience supporting small businesses or growing organizations.
