The Certified Medical Assistant works closely with providers and other medical assistants, lead medical assistant, and the clinic manager to provide quality care to patients in a positive work environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Completion of nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or relevant work experience and certification as a Certified Medical Assistant.
• Must have active license at time of hire.
• Certification from a nationally recognized organization, such as AAMA or NHA.
• Minimum of one year of prior outpatient medical assistant experience preferred.
• CPR certification must be complete at time of hiring.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Successful completion of a nationally accredited Certified Medical Assistant certification program or relevant work experience and national certification or registration as a Medical Assistant.
• Must be proficient in computer use, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Records Systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Timely and efficient rooming of patients, performing vital signs, taking chief complaint, and verifying medication list.
• Must be able to perform Receptionist Duties/ Checking Patients In and Out
• Required vital signs on each patient
• Prepping exam room and patient for procedures, such as minor surgery, physicals, female exams, etc.
• Call patients with lab and/or test results after provider has reviewed results and written recommendations.
