What are the responsibilities and job description for the Urgent Care Provider (PA / NP/MD / DO) position at Health Express Urgent Care?
Health Express Urgent Care is seeking an experienced and motivated Physician Assistant/ NURSE PRACTITIONER (PA OR NP) or Physician (MD/DO) to join our growing urgent care team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and providing high-quality care for patients of all ages with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries.
Our providers work collaboratively with medical assistants, radiology staff, and front office teams to deliver efficient, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses and minor injuries
- Perform physical exams and develop treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests including X-rays, labs, and EKGs
- Perform common urgent care procedures (suturing, splinting, incision & drainage, etc.)
- Prescribe medications and provide patient education
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure quality patient care
- Follow established clinical protocols and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Physician (MD/DO) licensed in the State of Ohio
- Current DEA license
- BLS certification required (ACLS preferred)
- Urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and patient care skills
Schedule
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- 12-hour shifts
- Weekend and evening availability preferred
