We’re looking for a Laboratory Technician (MLT) to support day-to-day operations at our CLIA-accredited clinical laboratory!
An ideal Laboratory Technician candidate will perform high-quality testing procedures, ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results, and maintain a professional and organized laboratory environment. This role is essential to the smooth operation of the lab and the delivery of accurate diagnostic results for patient care.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform quality assurance and quality control procedures for highly complex laboratory testing.
- Conduct DNA/RNA extraction and assist in performing PCR and other molecular diagnostic tests.
- Accurately handle, record, and maintain medical records, test results, and laboratory documentation in compliance with regulatory and institutional policies.
- Organize, catalogue, and track laboratory samples to ensure proper chain of custody and integrity.
- Prepare reagents and verify instrument performance before testing.
- Ensure the laboratory workspace remains clean, safe, and compliant with all environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Adhere to established laboratory protocols and report any deviations or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.
- Participate in routine laboratory operations, including inventory management, equipment maintenance, and calibration.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor and demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Technical Supervisor or Laboratory Director.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related laboratory science field; OR
- Associate’s degree in Applied Science in Clinical Laboratory Technology.
- 6 months to 2 years of experience in a CLIA-accredited clinical laboratory preferred.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
