Danbury Hospital, affiliated with Nuvance Health is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant Hospitalist Nights - Potential for $10k Hiring Bonus for Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT for variable night shifts, 8 PM - 8 AM. Work in a collegial work environment with experienced physicians and physician assistants in a community hospital in a family friendly location about 80 miles from NYC. You will have the opportunity to work independently but alongside the Physicians in Hospitalist Medicine. Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and graduate of an approved Physician Assistant (PA) school.
- CT State PA license, DEA/State of CT controlled substance.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- ACLS & BLS certification.
- Must maintain 50 CME's over two years.
- Strong Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Preferred: prior PA Hospitalist experience but new grads with inpatient Internal Medicine experience are encouraged to apply
- Able to work variable block night schedule, 8 PM - 8 AM (12-hour shifts) about 14 shifts per month (including 2 weekends/mo.).
