Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) Family Birthing Center Located at Manchester Memorial Hospital, the ECHN Family Birthing Center is a Level 3 Neonatology (NICU) hospital site. We invite practicing Neonatology Nurse Practitioners to apply for opportunities that include either full-time (40 hours per week), part-time (24 hours per week), or per diem shifts, all of which support a flexible work-life balance. Some of the services include daily lactation consultations, support from midwives and doulas, neonatal abstinence syndrome education, nitrous oxide therapy, vaginal birth after cesarean, and hydrotherapy and water births.
As a member of our multidisciplinary team, and the support of a strong partnership with Connecticut Children’s Medical Center (ranked as one of the top children’s hospitals in pediatric and neonatology care) with expert neonatology care. Our specialized team includes Neonatology APRN/PA-C providers, Neonatology Nurses, Lactation Consultants, Pediatricians, Physical Therapists, Respiratory Therapists, and Social Workers. We offer a rewarding work environment with advanced neonatology interventions and therapeutic management for high-acuity premature newborns. Position Highlights
Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) is a distinguished community healthcare system that includes two respected acute-care hospitals: Manchester Memorial and Rockville General Hospital. Together, they offer 249 beds and are supported by approximately 500 physicians and advanced practitioners. The network encompasses multiple primary care outpatient practice sites, expert physician specialists, comprehensive inpatient clinical services, and a state-of-the-art cancer center. Eastern Connecticut Health Network has an academic affiliation with the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Talented family medicine physicians support the Family Medicine Residency Program. The network offers robotic surgery, including the MAKO robotic-assisted knee-hip replacement system, and the Xi da Vinci Robot. ECHN’s has expanded its partnership with Jefferson Radiology, which has enhanced its diagnostic radiology services in collaboration with other esteemed programs.

- Provide high risk care, deliveries, and C-sections with resuscitation
- Daily clinical management, rounding, surgical procedures experience, admissions, and documentation
