Hackensack Meridian Health is hiring a Board Certified or Board Eligible Physician Assistant to work in the Brain Injury unit at the JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute in Edison, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Assessment & Diagnosis:
  • Conduct and document comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations.
  • Order, perform, and interpret laboratory results and diagnostic studies to formulate accurate diagnoses.
  • Clinical Management & Treatment:
  • Develop and manage treatment plans for a variety of medical and surgical conditions.
  • Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions under the supervision of an Attending, adhering to all New Jersey state regulations.
  • Collaboration & Advocacy:
  • Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, specialists, and support staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
  • Serve as a dedicated clinical resource and passionate advocate for patients and their families.
  • Patient & Family Education:
  • Provide compassionate, culturally sensitive, and effective health education to empower patients and their families throughout the care journey.

REQUIREMENTS: PA

  • Certification: Must hold an active Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) credential.
  • Education:
  • PAs: Master's degree from an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Licensure: Must possess an active and unrestricted New Jersey state license as a Physician Assistant.
  • Experience: Open to both experienced practitioners and new graduates.

Compensation

Minimum Starting Base Salary: $148,803.20 Annually

  • Leadership: Relevant experience as a department chair or chief, practice group leader, or other leadership roles.
  • Education and Certifications: Degrees attained, residencies, fellowships, board certifications, research, and publications.
  • Productivity: Levels of productivity, quality and patient satisfaction.
  • Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in relevant skills and competencies.
  • Geographic Location: Cost of living and market rates for the specific location.
  • Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the specialty and/or sub-specialty.
  • Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.

In addition to our compensation for full-time and part-time (20 hours/week) positions, HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits. The final compensation and benefits package will be discussed during the interview process.
