The Department of Medicine at Albany Medical College is seeking an Infectious Disease Physician with an interest in academic medicine to join their team. The successful candidate will be board certified or board eligible in infectious disease and will be given an academic appointment that will be commensurate with experience.
This is a full-time role in adult infectious disease working inpatient consultation with one half clinic day per week.

Additional Position Details
- Interest/experience in hospital epidemiology is helpful
- Diagnose and manage a broad range of infectious conditions, including, but not limited to:
- Sepsis and bloodstream infections
- Endocarditis
- Osteomyelitis and prosthetic joint infections
- Complex skin and soft tissue infections
- Healthcare-associated and multidrug-resistant infections
- HIV-related inpatient care
- Opportunistic infections in immunocompromised patients
- Post-surgical and device-related infections
- Experience in treatment of both surgical and complex medical patients.
- Direct involvement with Albany Med's Antibiotic Stewardship Program
- Collaborate closely with hospital medicine, critical care, surgery, oncology, transplant, nephrology, and emergency medicine teams & local affiliated community hospitals via telemedicine
- Weekend call anticipated as 1:5
- Competitive base salary range $225,000-250,000 depending on academic rank
