What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Professor / Associate Professor - Clinical, Infectious Diseases position at Health eCareers?
Incumbent will participate in teaching medical students, residents and fellows; deliver clinical service; and participate in our research programs.
The section offers a diverse patient population for clinical and translational research projects within LSU and with partnering institutions. Our faculty have funded research in the areas of new HIV therapeutics, malignancies associated with HIV, molecular diagnostics and therapeutic interventions in sexually transmitted infections. Moreover, we have collaborative projects with the NIH-funded Alcohol Research Center focusing on the intersection between HIV, alcohol, and substance use. Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: MD or equivalent
Certifications or Licenses Required: ABIM board certified/board eligible (or equivalent) physician in Infectious Diseases; Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana and credentialed with all required entities before hire
