What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist position at Health East?
As a Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in evaluating and treating patients to improve their mobility and quality of life. You will work closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans using manual therapy, exercise prescription, and therapeutic modalities. Utilizing modern technologies like Electronic Health Records, you will document progress and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team under the guidance of the Medical Director. This role manages a moderate caseload of 10-20 patients per day and does not require travel.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions and design individualized treatment plans
- Perform manual therapy techniques to alleviate pain and improve function
- Prescribe therapeutic exercises targeting patient rehabilitation goals
- Educate patients on home exercise programs and wellness strategies
- Document treatment progress clearly in Electronic Health Records
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Utilize therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound as part of treatment
- Focus on improving patient mobility and functional independence
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
- Minimum of 1 year experience in physical therapy practice
