Are you a passionate clinical leader who thrives on promoting resident wellness, staff development, and holistic care? Our client is looking for a Director of Health and Wellness to oversee the nursing department, ensuring exceptional resident care, regulatory compliance, and team development
What You’ll Do (AKA: Your Superpowers)
Lead and Oversee Health Services
- Ensure comprehensive nursing services that respect residents' dignity and individual needs.
- Develop and maintain personalized service plans in compliance with state-assisted living regulations
- Monitor resident care plans, assessing effectiveness through written progress notes and regular communication
- Implement wellness programs to promote resident well-being and independence
- Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of nursing staff
- Conduct regular in-services and training programs to ensure regulatory compliance and skill development
- Maintain state licensing requirements and ensure adherence to all regulatory guidelines
- Implement infection control, OSHA, and safety policies to create a secure environment for residents and staff
- Work closely with executive leadership and other departments to ensure a seamless resident experience
- Supports marketing efforts by conducting tours, engaging with families, and promoting the community's wellness programs
- Step into a leadership role in the Executive Director's absence to maintain continuity of operations
Education & Licensure
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; current RN license in the state of employment.
- CPR certification and knowledge of best practices in infection control and senior wellness.
- At least 2 years of nursing leadership experience in senior living, assisted living, or memory care preferred.
- Skilled in team management, training, and performance improvement.
- Working knowledge of state healthcare regulations and wellness program development.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
