What You’ll Do (Your Everyday Superpowers)
Provide Compassionate, Hands-On Care
· Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, repositioning, and mobility
· Ensure resident safety and comfort by responding promptly to call lights and care needs
· Support resident dignity and independence through person-centered care
Support Clinical Excellence
· Accurately measure and document vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other key clinical data
· Observe and report any changes in condition or behavior to licensed nursing staff
· Assist with restorative and rehabilitative activities as directed
Promote a Clean, Safe Environment
· Maintain tidy, sanitary resident rooms and shared areas
· Comply with all infection prevention, safety, and emergency procedures
· Provide compassionate presence during end-of-life care when needed
Be an Incredible Team Player
· Collaborate with nurses, dietary, therapy, housekeeping, and leadership
· Attend in-services and trainings to stay current on best practices
· Support the overall culture of respect, teamwork, and high-quality care
What You Bring to the Table
Licensure & Credentials
· Active CNA certification in the state of Iowa (required)
· CPR/First Aid (preferred; may obtain upon hire)
· Perk if you have CMA certificate
Skills & Experience
· Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred — but we will train the right person
· Excellent communication, empathy, and time-management skills
· Ability to deliver timely, respectful, resident-centered care
Physical Ability
· Able to lift, transfer, push/pull, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
· Must be able to assist residents safely with mobility and physical needs
