*Job Summary*
Very busy Pediatric practice is looking for a full-time Customer Service Agent/Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while assisting patients over the phone and supporting daily clinic operations. This position requires strong communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a compassionate approach when interacting with patients and families.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 1 Year experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish with the ability to communicate and interact professionally within a diverse team.
- Strong computer skills and able to operate applicable software with ease. (Practice Fusion EMR)
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze information and problem-solve effective
- Medical Assistant Certified
- Ability to multitask
- Answer incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
- Verify patient demographics, insurance, and contact information
- Route calls and messages to appropriate providers or departments
- Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist front office and clinical staff as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and families
- Manage high call volumes while maintaining professionalism and efficiency
· EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED (must be 18 years old).
- Authorized to work in the US
- Medical Assistant Certification
*Duties*
- Answer incoming calls and respond to patients inquiries
- Perform data entry tasks accurately
-Sent messages to providers in a timely matter
-Attempt to respond patient issues concerns about the clinic and provider
-Identify patient needs, clarify information, research the issue and improvise solutions
-Build sustainable relationship patients, parents or guardians by going the extra mile
-Engage with patients over the phone or via text message
-Maintain records of all conversations in our EHR
-Provide precise information regarding our clinics address, location, phone number, fax number and dates of service.
-Address non-medical patient issues and complaints effectively.
-Update patient chart, with accurate information as needed.
-Navigate the EHR system to access patient data for effective call management
-Escalate conflicts issues to the relevant departments or management when necessary
-Cover front desk as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
