Our Brands

The Intake Coordinator II is responsible for supporting advanced intake and clinical operations across assigned programs, including oversight of service authorizations, documentation review, and coordination of client access to services. This role provides clinical expertise in the intake process, including completing assessments and supporting service initiation, while partnering with clinical and operational teams to ensure timely, compliant, and effective service delivery. The Intake Coordinator II may also provide mentorship, clinical support, and guidance to team members. Responsibilities may vary based on program, state requirements, and business needs.

Essential Duties

  • Review and ensure clinical documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted within established timelines to support assessments, authorizations, and ongoing service requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate intake and administrative workflows, including service authorizations, documentation tracking, and discharge processes, in alignment with program and state requirements.
  • Complete clinical assessments and support service initiation, ensuring appropriate level of care and alignment with program criteria.
  • Monitor and track intake-related activities to ensure timely progression from service request through admission and discharge.
  • Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and leadership teams to ensure efficient coordination of services and continuity of care.
  • Provide clinical guidance and support within the intake process, including assisting with complex cases, documentation review, and problem resolution.
  • Support operational workflows related to service access and delivery, which may include referral coordination, assessment tracking, or caseload support, as applicable to the program and location.
  • Mentor and support Intake Coordinators and other team members, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • May provide clinical support in day-to-day operations, including responding to client needs or crisis situations as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within electronic systems and tracking tools.
  • Ensure compliance with all state, COA, payer, and organizational regulations, policies, and standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and external stakeholders to gather information, provide updates, and resolve issues related to intake and service coordination.
  • May provide direct treatment services to a small caseload, based on program needs and licensure.


State-Specific Requirements

  • Alabama
    • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.
    • Must be eligible for licensure as a LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in the state of AL.
  • Florida
    • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.
    • Preferred to have one of the following credentials in the state of Florida
      • Registered Intern (RMHCI, RCSWI, RMFTI), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Mississippi
    • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.
    • Must be eligible for licensure as a LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in the state of MS.
  • North Carolina
    • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.
    • Must hold associate license as a LCSWA or LCMHCA in the state of NC.
  • Ohio
    • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.
    • Must hold one of the following current professional licenses in the state of OH
      • LSW, LISW, LPC, LMFT, or LPCC.
  • South Carolina
    • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.
    • Must hold license as a LMSW, LMFT, or LPCA in the state of SC.
  • Tennessee
    • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.
    • Must be eligible for licensure as a LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in the state of TN.
  • Virginia
    • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.
    • Must be a Resident in Counseling or Supervisee in Social Work in the state of VA.
