We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Front and Back Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assist with patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for patient visits.
- Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately by documenting patient information, ICD coding for diagnoses, and updating medical records efficiently.
- Administer medications or injections under supervision, following proper protocols for medication administration and basic life support standards.
- Conduct preliminary assessments in inpatient settings or emergency environments such as Level I or Level II trauma centers or PICU units.
- Perform diagnostic tasks including taking X-rays or assisting with other imaging procedures in outpatient or hospital settings.
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, explaining procedures, and ensuring a comfortable experience for diverse patient populations including geriatrics and internal medicine patients.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology relevant to various specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, and emergency medicine.
- Ability to operate EHR systems efficiently while maintaining confidentiality of patient data.
