Accounts Receivable / Billing SpecialistIndustry: Skilled Nursing Facilities (Healthcare)Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable / Billing Specialist to join our team supporting Skilled Nursing Facilities in the Chicago, Il area. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of healthcare billing, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage accounts receivable processes efficiently to ensure timely reimbursement and compliance with regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess and submit claims to Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and private insurance payersMonitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding balancesInvestigate and resolve billing discrepancies and denied claimsPost payments and adjustments accurately and timelyReconcile resident accounts and maintain accurate financial recordsCommunicate with insurance companies, residents, and responsible parties regarding billing inquiriesEnsure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulationsWork collaboratively with facility administrators and corporate finance teamsPrepare reports related to AR, collections, and reimbursement trendsQualificationsMinimum 2 years of accounts receivable and/or billing experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities or long-term careStrong knowledge of Medicare Part A & B, Medicaid, managed care, and private insurance billingFamiliarity with healthcare billing software and EMR systemsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlinesPreferred QualificationsExperience with long-term care billing systemsUnderstanding of PDPM reimbursement methodologyExperience working in a multi-facility environmentCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidays401(k) Opportunities for professional growth
