This position is responsible for directing the achievement of large group account management business goals, including management of accounts and servicing of accounts. Develop strategies and implement initiatives, programs and products to drive results for a specified territory. Ability and willingness to travel including overnight stays. Please note, this is a HYBRID position and will require in-office hours a minimum of 3 days a week in the respective office location. Responsibilities include: *Direct the achievement of account management goals and objectives in the retention of profitable business and sales to existing clients, and servicing of existing accounts for the large market group market. *Identify consultants and brokers and develop relationships focused on the large market group business. *Oversee management staff including but not limited to performance management, team development, professional development, change management, budget and pay administration. *Develop short and long-term account management strategies on an interdivisional and departmental basis in order to accomplish corporate goals. Drive implementation of initiatives and strategies and ensure completion. *Meet/exceed account management objectives to increase profitability. *Work closely with other Sales/Marketing staff, support staff, and other involved departments to facilitate implementation and service support for the departmental Accounts. *Provide assistance on problem situations with regard to the retention of existing business, customer service, and financial matters. *Maintain extensive knowledge of HCSC products, services, systems, and processes. *Maintain knowledge of competitor’s products and insurance trends. *Maintain life and health insurance license.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years’ experience in group account management and/or sales of managed care products OR 8 years in group managed care account management or sales without Bachelor’s degree.
- Current, valid State Agent Life and Health Insurance License.
- 3 years management experience in a managed care environment of group account management or sales.
- Experience managing a book of business for profitability.
- Knowledge and experience in marketing and account management techniques.
- Thorough knowledge of managed care products, processes, and trends.
- Leadership and mentoring experience and skills.
- Experience in addressing customer needs and making business decisions.
- Experience building customer relations.
- Negotiation, presentation, and financial skills.
- Verbal and written communications skills, including business writing.
- PC skills and experience to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Ability and willingness to travel including overnight stays.
- Overseeing the annual budget and allocating resources for various projects and operational needs.
- Translating needs and initiatives into compelling business cases.
- Conducting cost-benefit analyses to justify investments and ensure ROI.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration.
