POSITION SUMMARY:
The Billing Supervisor oversees the entire billing process for a company, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, managing a team of billing clerks, and improving financial reporting. They also handle client inquiries, resolve payment issues, and ensure compliance with regulations
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review medical records, including patient notes, test results, and transcriptions
- Provide guidance and support.
- Oversee all aspects of the billing process, including invoicing, accounts receivable, and payments.
- Ensure the accuracy and compliance of billing practices, including adherence to regulations and internal policies.
- Communicate with clients to address inquiries and resolve billing issues.
- Identify and implement improvements to billing processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records of billing activities and transactions.
- Develop and prepare reports and analyze data to track billing performance.
- Motivate and lead a team of billing staff to achieve performance goals.
- Work with other departments, such as accounts receivable and credit/collections, to ensure accurate billing.
- Manage and ensure compliance with company policies, and state and federal regulatory bodies.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Must have 2 or more years of Medical billing experience, FQHC is a plus
