Role: Registrar responsible for managing patient registration processes, insurance verification, financial assistance information, and Point of Service Collections.
Responsibilities include: Accurate data entry and record keeping, ensuring patient information and financial transactions are correct, and adhering to credit card handling protocols. You will register patients efficiently to minimize wait times, obtain complete patient information, document payer details and communication, and ensure proper completion of registration forms. Additionally, you will distribute and explain patient handouts related to patient rights, advance directives, and financial assistance.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, clerical experience, typing speed of 30 wpm, and excellent communication skills. Preferred qualifications include experience with prior authorization and insurance benefits, medical terminology knowledge, EMR familiarity (preferably Cerner), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
