- Exercising professional judgment in diagnosis and treatment following organizational policies.
- Supporting department goals, achieving patient engagement and safety objectives, and maintaining accurate documentation for quality care and reimbursement.
- Doctorate in a relevant medical field from an accredited institution.
- Board eligibility or certification by recognized boards (Canadian or American), with certification in specialty within six years of employment.
- Valid medical license from the appropriate licensing board.
- Ability to secure medical staff appointment and professional liability insurance.
- Proficiency in English communication skills.
- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Adaptability to utilize available technology, including voice dictation systems.
- Optional procedures include bone marrow biopsies.
- Rotating call with advanced practice provider support.
- Physical demands involve continuous handling and sensory activities, with occasional standing, walking, and bending.
- Infrequent driving required.
