Health and Style Institute's campuses are beautiful, state-of-the-art cosmetic arts and esthetics complexes. This private college is the ELITE of hair, skin, nail, makeup, and barbering schools. Once you see it, you'll believe it. We are currently seeking a Lead Instructor to join our team.

*Must be licensed by the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers*

Objective

To teach, motivate, mentor, and coach students and instructors in customer-focused service and create a rich learning experience on the clinic floor and in the classroom.

Service Experience Facilitator

The Lead Instructor:

  • Oversees the clinic floor, dispensary, service desk and other areas as needed.
  • Creates a smooth transition for students and clients.
  • Checks services as appropriate to ensure that all guests include a consultation, add-on service and take-home recommendations.
  • Ensures that clinic areas are clear, clean and attractive.
  • Ensures a clean and safe working environment for all parties.
  • Completes all necessary documentation.
  • Ensures students are aware of and follow state board rules for sanitation, service safety and other applicable areas.
  • Could teach beginner or advanced students.
  • Recordkeeping The Lead Instructor is responsible for ensuring that Instructors maintain accurate academic and attendance records.

Resource Expert

The Lead Instructor:

  • Illustrates the best of guest and student service at all learning levels.
  • Is knowledgeable and experienced in customer-focused service.
  • Is competent in all areas of instruction.
  • Stays abreast of rules, regulations and changes in the field including, but not limited to those enacted by the Georgia State Board of Cosmetic Arts Examiners, the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences, Inc. and the United States Department of Education.
  • Coaches students on customer focus, daily service and take-home goals.
  • Is a skilled motivator of students and staff.
  • Demonstrates and teaches proper technique for retail recommendations.
  • Encourages the staff and students to stay forward focused and solution-oriented.
  • Assists in recruitment, interviews and training of instructors and other associates.
  • Reviews and improves lesson plans, curriculum and delivery.
  • Conducts classroom observations and provides feedback for all instructors at least annually. Follows up to ensure appropriate improvement(s), as applicable, are implemented.
  • Monitors scheduling of guest educators, field trips and submit plans to the Executive Director for approval.
  • Collaborates with Instructors and the Executive Director to promote successful student outcomes including, but not limited to completion and licensure.
  • Attends institutional meetings as required.
  • Monitors and reports to the Executive Director progress towards continuing education requirements for all Instructors.
  • Completes administrative duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.
