At Health & Psychiatry, located in the heart of Oldsmar, Florida, with offices across the state, we are looking for a compassionate bilingual (English & Spanish) Front Desk Receptionist to join our Health and Psychiatry clinic to join our team. Our mission is to provide a healthcare experience centered around hope, health, and harmony through personalized behavioral health services.
The ideal Front Desk Receptionist candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing a welcoming environment while efficiently managing administrative tasks. This role is essential in supporting the clinical team and enhancing the patient’s experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Tele Check in and out Patients
- Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, assisting patients who have limited English proficiency
- Provide patients with necessary forms and assist them with check-in/check-out processes
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and schedule appointments and confirm appointment
Administrative Duties
- Manage patient records with confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Process billing, insurance verification, and co-payments
- Coordinate communication between patients, clinicians, and other staff
- Maintain an organized and clean reception area
Operational Support
- Handle appointment reminders and follow-up calls
- Assist with clerical duties such as filing, scanning, and faxing documents
- Support the clinic with any additional administrative tasks as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required (written and verbal)
- Previous experience in a medical or psychiatric office is highly desirable
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Knowledge of mental health confidentiality laws (HIPAA) is a plus
