This paid internship will require full time hours availability (M-F) during the summer session dates with the potential to continue on part time during the school year. It will be a hybrid work format, involving a combination of remote and onsite work/events in Troy, MI (commute & housing expense reimbursement not provided).

Program Duties/Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research on industry trends, healthcare policies, and emerging technologies. Analyze data and prepare reports to support strategic decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in the planning, development, and implementation of projects. Contribute innovative ideas and support the execution of initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Assist in the collection, organization, and analysis of healthcare-related data. Ensure data accuracy and integrity, utilizing appropriate software tools and methodologies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and assisting with customer support activities. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and propose innovative solutions to streamline workflows and enhance productivity. Assist in the implementation of approved process improvement initiatives.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation, including policies, procedures, and project-related materials. Generate regular reports, dashboards, and presentations to effectively communicate project progress and outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments to support a positive and inclusive work environment. Contribute actively to team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Provide general support to a Data Mastering Agile Scrum Team by assisting with day‑to‑day tasks and participating in team meetings such as stand‑ups, planning sessions, and reviews as appropriate.
- Assist with gathering, organizing, and validating business requirements from internal customers.
- Support team members by helping document data definitions, basic business rules, and simple process steps related to mastering data.
- Help maintain project documentation, trackers, and Agile artifacts.
- Assist in preparing reports, dashboards, or presentations to help communicate team progress and outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with team members across departments, demonstrating professionalism, curiosity, and a willingness to learn in a fast‑paced Agile environment.
- Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, an accredited 4-year undergraduate or graduate program in a relevant field.
- Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated adaptability, initiative, and a desire to learn and grow.
- Knowledge or interest in healthcare, health insurance, or managed care is a plus.
- Michigan resident.
- Coursework in Project Management, Agile/Scrum methodologies preferred.
- Experience supporting projects through coursework, internships, or group initiatives
- Familiarity with project tracking tools an asset.
- Basic data and analytics knowledge.
