Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled AncillaryTechnician/ Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high quality patient care, ensuring safety and comfort for individuals in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling patients for ancillary services.
- Preparing for upcoming appointments, to include ensuring insurance verification is completed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement patient care plans.
- Getting authorizations processed in a timely manner.
- Responsible for performing a variety of clinical support tasks, including but not limited to administering injections and allergy patch testing.
- Follow provider documenting visits with the patient into the EMR as requested.
- Understanding of diagnosis and CPT codes.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist in the training of new staff members on protocols and procedures related to ancillary services.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, sanitized, and ready for use at all times.
- Collaborate with the team on clinic flow and ancillary services.
- Occasional travel between clinics, when necessary.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of patient care practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and training in the field of healthcare.
- At least 2 years experience in a clinical setting.
- Athena EMR preferred but not required.
- Must be available to work 8am-5pm Monday-Friday
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
