Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Radiation Therapist based in Modesto, CA. The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for administering prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients, ensuring the safe and accurate delivery of radiation doses, and collaborating with medical teams to optimize care plans. Key tasks include operating radiation-producing equipment, monitoring patient responses, and maintaining detailed treatment records. The therapist will also adhere to safety protocols to protect both patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Certification in Radiation Therapy and current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Proficiency in Radiation Safety protocols and procedures
- Knowledge of Dosimetry and the ability to calculate accurate radiation doses
- Understanding of radiation physics and its application in medicine
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with patients and a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to compassionate patient care and maintaining the highest professional standards
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field is preferred
- Prior experience in a clinical radiation therapy setting is a plus
